Home workouts routines can produce
impressive results. And in the internet age there is no
reason why an average person cannot design a fun exercise
program that is practical for him or her to do. Yes, you
can also be creative in combining exercises from different
workout programs. Like your clothes, you do not need to
buy it all from the same brand or designer. And as
elegance in fashion entails keeping things simple, make
sure to avoid making your routines impossible and
complicated. Keep it simple but also keep the exercise
tips below in mind.
Before all else, figure out
the schedule in which you can perform your workouts during the
week. Planning ahead will enable you to stick to your home
workout routines. If you just exercise when you think you are
free, you will never exercise at all because we always have
something that still needs to be done! Making this routine in
your household will also lessen the interruption from your
family because they already know that you are busy.
It is also helpful to schedule
your home workouts routines by specific dates and not give
yourself too much flexibility on choosing and changing the days
of the week you can do your exercises. Instead of scheduling by
hours or any day of the week, commit to a workout date. Based
from my experience, many people fall prey to wishful thinking
that they can afford to miss out their workout a few times
because they still have time to do their 4-5 required workouts
by the end of the week. But when the weekend comes, these
people will tell themselves that they need to rest or spend
more time with their family. Hence, many fall short of their
required workout levels for the whole month!

I have also learned that it is
practical to wear workout outfits even when you are just at
home. Somehow, it sends signals your brain that you are serious
and ready to do your home exercise routine. Of course, you do
not need to purchase top of the line exercise outfits, but
something that fits your body well so that you are able to
perform the exercises smoothly and
comfortably.
Employ the power of music to
enhance your home workout routines. Can you imagine Rocky
Balboa running up the steps of the monument without that music?
So get your brain and heart pumping with fast tempo music while
doing your cardio. Listen to your five-rock band while doing
those abdominal workouts. And cool down with chill
music.
Unlike music, television is seen as a
distraction to a home workout routine. Since you are focusing
on the TV program, your movement slows down. You may also not
be aware that you are not squeezing or contracting your muscles
as tightly when you watch TV. I guess TV is only good for
treadmill sessions but not for strength training or Pilates.
But if your workout schedule is interrupted by the OSCAR, or
Grammy's and you need to watch, then you might as well exercise
during the long program. Your workout might not be as intense
as your usual workout but its better than completely missing
your workout! So do what you can to make your home workout
routines effective.
