BSN True Mass is a great way to add
calories to your diet. It works to help you gain the
weight you want quickly. To understand the benefits of BSN
True Mass, it is important you understand how weight
gainers are used. I have noted from the emails I often get
that some users are not clear on how to use
them.
While a weight gainer is formulated to assist
you in putting on added weight, it is NOT guaranteed to do so.
In order to gain weight, you must take in more calories than
you use. If your total caloric intake, including use of weight
gainer and the meals you eat, does not exceed the calories you
use in exercise, you will be unable to put on
weight.
Simply put, take in a surplus of calories and
you can put on weight. While it is possible to do this without
using weight gainers, the use of them will make it much easier
and faster. This is because a standard serving has more than
600 calories. You should know that you can also find weight
gain supplements that contain more than 1,000 calories for each
serving.

Another mistake many users make is believing
that a weight gainer giving you an added 800 calories is
somehow better than one that gives you only 600 calories. This
is not true for all situations. You should remember that
protein, fat and carbohydrates (macro nutrients) give a
predefined measure of calories in each gram:
- 4 calories for 1 gram of
protein
- 4 calories for 1 gram of
carbohydrate
- 9 calories for 1 gram of
fat
It stands to reason that a weight gainer
giving you higher levels of calories in a serving should also
require you use more product to get that
serving.
Also remember to pay particular attention to
the serving size in grams when you compare weight gainers, not
the recommended number of scoops. Some supplements use larger
scoops than others, making the only objective comparison to be
done by grams.
My
Experience With True Mass
I started using BSN True Mass just a few
short months back. I like the Strawberry flavor best and will
frequently mix it with a little orange juice. The Chocolate is
not bad either, but I found it to be more filling. If you mix
the Chocolate with a little peanut butter, you end up with a
Peanut Butter cup shake!
Initially, I started making these monster 80g
shakes with milk, and I drank two shakes per day. But at night
I felt too heavy and tired, so I switch to drinking just one
shake in the morning after my regular
workout.
The Strawberry relieves my bloat, which I
like. I will frequently have a shake and then go ahead and cook
up my eggs at breakfast time.
The scale showed impressive results. I
weighed myself first thing in the morning before I ate, wearing
only underwear, each Sunday for the next three months. I was
glad to see my weight go up from 128 to 140
pounds.
I was exited to see a ten-pound gain in just
the first month. The gain slowed down after that, but I still
can recommend this supplement above any other weight gainer
(not including those with creatine). I think of True Mass as a
treat with everything I need to stay big and strong….in as much
as a 140 pound man can be.
